Here is his HostGator Shared Hosting review:
It was great at first and I think it has been great ever since. Until I started using them a lot I couldn’t really give a fair analysis though. Hostgator comes highly recommended by a lot of “big players” in the online money-making business and that’s why I decided to go with them.
I give Hostgator a 10 out of 10 for customer support because they answer my contact requests and emails on time all the time. I have never had a problem with them not knowing how to help my situation as well. The customer service representatives have always been friendly and have never “talked down to me” if I didn’t know about something that may seem pretty simple to them.
Great reliability. We have a few fantasy football websites that are very complex and have a lot of graphics and flash files on them. Hostgator handles them fine all the time with no downtime.
Isn’t Hostgator the best “cheap” host that there is for a reason? The price is absolutely stellar, to say the least. I can think of a few cheaper hosting companies offhand, but I won’t trust my websites to them. There’s no way that I would be able to trust that they were online or that I wouldn’t get stuck on some server that is populated and overrun by spammers that hog all the resources. I know that Hostgator takes a strong stance against those guys so I don’t have to worry about that.
Setting up my account with Hostgator is as easy as anything I’ve ever done online and probably the easiest. I was up and running with a new site within minutes of first visiting theirs. Everything is automated but there is someone there to help you out if you need it. Luckily, I never did but its nice to know that their customer support is superb if I did.
